In this edition of the Marcha Cicloturista Ibercaja Quebrantahuesos by TotalEnergies and Treparriscos the gels, drinks and energy bars will be given to you together with your race bib. Pick up your race bib, pick up your jersey, pick up your fuel bag and pick up your Maurten 500ml water bottle.
You must bear in mind that you will NOT have gels or energy bars at the refreshment posts because you will have already received them in the FUEL BAG the day before the race.
WHAT IS THE FUEL BAG?
The Fuel Bag is a bag with Maurten products that we will give you when you pick up your race bib.
WHAT DOES THE FUEL BAG CONTAIN?
The Fuel Bag contains the products that Maurten offers us to compete at the highest level. That is, gels, drinks and energy bars. In addition to the Recommended Energy Plan for both distances.
WILL IT BE THE SAME FUEL BAG FOR BOTH DISTANCES?
No, the Quebrantahuesos will have more products because its distance demands more fuel consumption. The Treparriscos will also have its Fuel Bag but with less product because it is a shorter distance.
WHAT DOES THE QUEBRANTAHUESOS FUEL BAG CONTAIN?
All participants in the QH will receive a Fuel Bag containing:
- 2 units of Gel100
- 2 units of Drink Mix 160
- 2 units of Solid 160
WHAT DOES THE TREPARRISCOS FUEL BAG CONTAIN?
All participants in the Treparriscos will receive a Fuel Bag containing:
- 1 unit of Gel100
- 1 unit of Drink Mix 160
- 1 unit of Solid 160
WHEN WILL THE FUEL BAG BE DELIVERED?
All participants will have to collect their Fuel Bag at the same place as they collect their race bib and runner’s bag. In addition to receiving the Fuel Bag, you will also receive a 500ml Maurten bottle.
SO, WILL THERE BE NO REFRESHMENT POSTS ALONG THE ROUTE?
Yes, during the race you will have the indicated refreshment posts but you will NOT have any gels or energy bars because we will have already given them to you in the Fuel Bag the day before the race.
DO I HAVE TO TAKE THE SPORTS NUTRITION WITH ME FROM THE START?
Yes, along the route you will find the usual water points where you can fill up your flasks and complete the Drink Mix 160 drink. The Maurten products you will have to take with you from the start.
