The tireless cyclist Haimar Zubeldia will be the honoree of the Marcha Cicloturista Ibercaja Quebrantahuesos by TotalEnergies 2024. The cyclotourist event, which will take place on 22 June, will challenge participants with its 200 km and 3,500 m of accumulated altitude gain.

Zubeldia, a prominent member of the event’s Hall of Fame, returns after his last participation in 2022. On that occasion, he crossed the finish line alongside his friend Imanol Arizmendi, who was the fastest to complete the route.

Haimar has been a professional cyclist for 20 years, being one of the most important support riders in the peloton throughout his professional career. He started his professional career in 1998 and retired in 2017, he is the Spanish cyclist with the most participations in the Tour de France, and has 5 participations in the top 10.

Since his retirement, he has remained closely linked to cycling, taking part in both road and mountain bike rides.

The rider from Guipuzcoa, with great battles behind him, will put his class and endurance to the test as he takes on the iconic and mythical mountain passes of the Aragonese and French Pyrenees: Somport, Marie Blanque, Portalet and Hoz de Jaca.
